Rootd is a mobile app designed to help users manage their anxiety and panic attacks through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. It features a user-friendly interface with a ”Rootd" panic button for quick access during panic episodes, guided processes for facing panic attacks, and tools for long-term management. Rootd includes lessons on understanding anxiety, breathing exercises, body scans, visualizations, relaxing videos, and nature sounds to help users relax or sleep better. The app also provides users with feedback upon their progress in the app, offers a journal for mood and trigger tracking and an emergency contact feature.
Rootd can be used as a supportive resource for patients who experience panic attacks and anxiety. Clinicians can work with patients on how to use Rootd for managing panic attacks. Moreover, Rootd’s educational content can be used to complement therapeutic strategies, for better understanding and long-term management of anxiety.
