Finch Self Care Pet is a mobile app intended to enhance well being and help users achieve personal goals through the upkeep of a virtual pet bird. By completing practical daily tasks aligned with their preset goals, users get to see their pet thrive and mature, which is meant to reflect the user's progress in their real life and to motivate them. The app features goals of different nature (short or long term), as well as “journeys” that combine tasks related to a specific goal. The journeys offer mental wellness activities such as breathing techniques and guided relaxation sessions. Additional features include mood and progress tracker, an option to engage with other pets and many pet-related options (clothing, personality setting, locations etc.) A basic version of the app is available at no cost, however, unlocking the entire range of features requires a premium subscription.
