Dare is a mobile app based on the best-selling book by Barry McDonagh, designed to help users overcome anxiety and panic attacks. The app combines principles from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure therapy. It features guiding audios of various themes, such as panic and anxiety management, SOS exercise for immediate relief, dealing with insomnia and more. The “challenges” section offers practical help with specifies types of anxiety (at grocery shops, driving, flying etc.), providing guidance for overcoming fear through different levels of exposure. The app also offers guided meditations, masterclasses, and live sessions to provide comprehensive support. Additional features include mood and thoughts tracker, daily educational audios (“dares”) and an option to engage in a “buddy group” of users who work on similar issues. Users can access a range of free content, with the option to subscribe for premium features that offer more in-depth support and resources.
