The Desk is a web-based program intended to help university students enhance their mental and physical health and overall well-being. The program contains 4 modules targeting time management, stress management, relationship improvement, and the management of physical and mental health through nutrition, exercise, and sleep. Each module – designed to be completed at the user’s own pace – contains textual information, videos, and interactive exercises. The Desk also provides information on common issues faced by students and where to go to seek help for academic and personal issues. In addition to the modules, users can access quizzes that enable them to learn about their current state across a wide range of areas related to well-being (e.g., mood, alcohol and drug consumption, nutrition, relationship satisfaction, etc.) and monitor their progress. A separate social platform described by the program was not operational at the time of our review. Additional tools include mindfulness and relaxation audios, problem-solving guides, action planners, and information on challenging unhelpful thoughts.
