Palouse Mindfulness is a web-based 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) online course designed for people who are unable to attend a live MBSR training course. MBSR is a blend of meditation, yoga, and body awareness. Through this completely self-guided course, the program aims to teach users how to practice MBSR in order to cope with stress, daily stressors, and disturbing events. The program includes texts and videos from established teachers in the field. The lessons for each of the 8 weeks include videos, reading materials, and practice assignments, which users can complete at their own pace. The course is designed to be experiential, and daily practice of 30 minutes is highly recommended. The website also provides access to an online student community where registered members can share experiences and/or ask questions about the course.
