MoodMission is a mobile app designed to help users cope with stress, anxiety, and low moods, by suggesting practical, evidence-based tasks and missions. Based on cognitive behavioral therapy, the app aims to improve mental health by encouraging users to engage in activities that can alter their negative emotional state and enhance their well-being. Upon experiencing feelings of stress or depression, users input their current mood into the app. MoodMission then generates a list of "missions" tailored to help ease these feelings. Missions can range from physical activities and mindfulness exercises to emotional coping strategies, or even daily tasks such as doing laundry. After completing a mission, users can report their mood and task’s effectiveness. The app uses this information to adapt future mission suggestions, tailoring the process to users’ individual needs over time. The “expeditions” section offers missions for specific conditions, such as fear of flights, public speaking or spiders. The app also allows users to create their own missions.
