MoodGYM is a web-based program intended to help users cope with depression and anxiety through the teaching of strategies mainly drawn from cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal therapies. The program offers 6 modules containing information, exercises, and quizzes. Through text and figures, these modules aim at teaching the user about the connection between their thoughts and feelings, stress, and problem solving in relationships. Each module starts with self-assessments of depression and anxiety levels. While users have the option to skip some exercises, other exercises and quizzes must be completed before the user is able to progress through the modules. A workbook stores users’ completed exercises and quizzes and includes a graph displaying their results.
