GoZen is a web-based intervention aimed for kids (6-18 y/o) dealing with anxiety. Relying on several evidence based approaches (e.g. CBT, positive psychology), GoZen delivers 9 animated programs of different themes (e.g. Anxiety/Stress Relief Program, Well-being/Resilience Program, Anger Transformation Program ) that educate and present practical coping tools for dealing with anxiety and enhancing general well being (e.g. breathing techniques, the 5C’s technique).. The programs are suitable for kids and feature animated characters that accompany the children through the learning process. One exceptional program features real teens who share their own challenges and how they overcome them. Additional features include a wide variety of expert interviews, workshops, and masterclasses, as well as a printable library of journals, posters, games, and activities aimed at teaching skills specially for kids. The website offers different subscription options suitable for either families, schools or professionals
Gozen is a friendly to use program suitable for kids (7-15 y/o) dealing with mild to moderate anxiety. The provision of an animated story with relatable characters generates an engaging experience. The content is age appropriate and easy to follow and the general approach is light and humoristic. On the downside, the animation is somewhat outdated, and the program could be more adaptive to the user’s state. In addition, for the young age group it is recommended for parents to accompany the program’s completion and make sure the child understands and follows suggested practice.
GoZen could be recommended for children 7-15 y/o dealing with anxiety. The program could help to reinforce topics taught during therapy in a light and easily relatable manner.
