Sleep Cycle is a mobile app designed to improve sleep quality. It’s based on the principle of sleep cycles, that determines in which period of your sleep you should wake up in order to feel best. The app’s main feature is a smart alarm that identifies the lightest phase of sleep within a predetermined time window and wakes up the user in the ideal timing to facilitates a more rejuvenating awakening. In addition, the app monitors noises and breathing quality during sleeps, and provides insights regarding sleep quality along with comprehensive statistics and trends. Users can add their own sleep notes to these statistics. The app also offers many sleep-inducing materials, including soothing sounds and guided meditations, to aid in falling asleep with ease, as well as different educational programs aimed at teaching users about different aspects of sleeping, as well as options to enhance sleep quality. Additional features include snore recognition, setting sleep goals, optional connection to a smartwatch/other health apps, and an educational program sent via emails. Sleep Cycle is accessible in a free version that includes basic tracking and alarm capabilities, and a premium subscription, which provides extensive analyses, an archive of sleep notes, and unrestricted access to sleep aids.
